| I like 3betting preflop with low pocketpairs against people who steal a lot, hence preflop. Once he calls I put him on a handrange of like KQ, JQ, AT, AJ, AQ. I don't think he would call a 3bet with low suited connectors nor with low pocketpairs much. He doesn't slowplay big hands either so he doesn't have AA-QQ or w/e. He pretty much gets TT/JJ in against me as well.
On the flop I don't cbet because I likely have the best hand and I might just call once when he bets. When he checks behind I think he doesn't have much, most likely like Ace high. I bet the turn pretty small to protect my hand against rivers that might hit his hand and at the same time to bluff him out. Once he calls I immediately get the idea that he wants to bluff me on the river because of the scary board and because he has position.
On that river I decide not to continue my bluff. When he overbet shoves I think his range is very polarized and I just followed up with my read on the turn. I also had a gut feeling he was full of it =]. And if he did float me on the turn with a hand like KQo I doubt he'd valueshove it. |
Someone PM-ed me about this hand and I replied the above (although slightly edited now that I read it). I decided to just put it here.
