why the hell are u checking the turn BEHIND???

I don't really have a strong argumentation. I think my thought process was that I was trying to look weak on the turn so that I could get paid off on the river. He's calling with a wide range on the flop... It all went wrong though. I don't advocate my play, my bigger problem is if I should just fold the river to his shove? And if he check/raises the turn I get it in, right?
