Start by checking preflop, there is no reason to raise 57s when this guy is calling you 100% of the time |

preflop raising and then check calling this flop playing oop with complete garbage is a terrible play. |

you raised extra pre, apparently, and then decided to play 4 outs oop against an aggro fish? wait for a good pair type hand against this idiot.. |

By that logic we should raise any two cards oop 100% of the time because he will pay us off when we hit? I disagree. Not to mention this is NL10, FPS isn't required. |

its not fancy to be using simple implied odds.
If youre gazzilion BI deep and youre certain u get his stack whenever u flop quads, u can profitably call with any two. |

but this isnt fancy at all postflop, its just downright fucking mental, this is the sort of situation that is soooooooooooooo bad mathwise...
you have about 16% shot to hit on BOTH remaining cards (im just going 44/48 squared ROUGHLY for "misses"
you need to earn 6:1 on that flop bet then
1.80 x 6 = 10.80 final potsize or greater
not to mention hes going to bet the turn a ton because you described him as an aggro tard, are you really going to call twice on your gutshot?

No wonder tons of NL10 players get nowhere when you're telling them this is ok. Let's focus on playing solid poker at this limit and not raise 57s oop for no apparent reason and then c/c down with a gutshot. As a guideline I would raise something in the range of JQo oop for value.
As played at least cbet and try to take it down since you have no showdown value but 4 outs to the nuts, and since you hit your miracle card on the river if he really is a huge aggro fish I would be betting as big as possible since he's probably calling any amount if he holds a J or A. |

I'm beginning to wonder if you have even read the hand considering Hero is in the Big Blind. |

Makito made a correct player-specific read. If you can make those as well i wont tell you not.
But you gotta be careful cos its easy to be wrong. |

no, theres no way i will ever accept this okay, its fucking terrible and everyone needs to agree on that right now
its everything in combination with eachother, not one facet, its like the perfect storm of bad-ness
preflop overbet raise, then not cbet, i dunno, that in itself is bad
drawing to something oop in general is terrible, blahghhgh, especially paying 18 bigblinds to draw to a gutshot when villain is 150 deep? its soooooooooooo marginal even against the perfect opponent it would be questionable, we're oop? ........ we're going to check when we hit? ... |
