He raised you on the flop to see if you missed. You min-raised only $5.00 more and gave him the odds to call for your stack. That or your image reflected you'd been bluffing with weak hands and this dude was going to play you to the river with a pair of 7's.
You bet 30$ on the turn, and you'd been re-raising on the flop. He shoves all-in.
What the heck makes you think he's scared of a set of 4's at this point?'
This isn't always a fold, and it depends on the opponent + read, but you've got to do a little more thinking and I think it's clear you didn't apply any theory of poker here at all.
