yeah.. he is very competent so if he thinks I am bluffing he can absolutely call with KQ..

is that relevant, if I am ahead I should VB, the question is how much.. if I miss a spadeflush I bet pretty much so if I rep that I must bet big too.. he could have JT, As9s, KQ, dont know.. TT?

but I agree.. its a very thin VB.. maybe I should refrace the question, should I VB or C/F? (he has something and he wont bet without beating me)

I'd just c/c turn and river. Bet river if he checks behind turn.Had he opened in a later pos I like your line more.

Is it possible to bet turn and check river? And if so, do you think he will bet worse than an ace? Seems so standard to me to bet the ace that it might be possible to make him vb worse because i thought you tried to bluff the ace. Or is this logic super-flawed?

when I bet against this opponent on the turn I absolutely think he will call with an KQ etc and some spadedraws, but the river is not a blank.. if he had a draw on the turn he often hit it in some way on the river (made a pair etc) - so he wont bet those on the river. and he wont bet KQ either for value.
So: if he has me he will VB, if he doesnt have me he wont bet (unless if hes on a total bluff, like 56s - but I dont think he has that too often.) So my only chance of getting value was to VB very thin and hope he thinks I am on a bluff..
but if I go for the bet turn, check river line I probably must fold to a bet on the river..

it would be interesting to hear a pro diskuss this hand. I actually rep something very strong and I could have a lot: the T9s got there, the backdoorflush got there, I could have AJ etc. when I think about the hand, maybe I went for too thin value (I might have liked it more if the river was a Jh). maybe a C/F would have been better?
