Yeah push river when we're both deep and when I get 2 callers on a non-draw board.

It's not a donkament.

He has $100 left, the pot is $242. How much do you expect him to bet? If your check folding the river fine, but i assume the plan was to check call, and if hes not a total moron his only bet is to push.

So hes going to check behind with all the hands you beat that MIGHT call a bet (A7, TT, JJ, 88) etc and you win nothing, and hes going to bet every hand that you do bet. If you plan to check call his push anyway, its kinda simple to push this river as your going to lose the $100 to hands that have you beat anyway, but you gain value from the hands that might look you up when you push but def won't bet when you check.

The only reason to check call here imo is to fold to an allin, or to catch a bluff - and im not sure this is the correct board to do it.

Oh, bleh i missread the hand hahah. I thought it was the other opponent with the $200 stack who you got to the river with, ignore me! I assume if he had $100-150 behind you agree that push > checking yes?

I still bet the river

Nah I don't like his bet on the river. If he had 100$ left I would call the push obviously, but knowing I would probably be beat. I wouldn't be able to fold then though.

And I can't really bet this river I think after he bet so big. He either has me beat, or he was bluffing. So no use in betting the river really.

If your check calling $100, pushing > calling. Do you not see this? (this is assuming he has $100 left)

Hm.. true. But I might have just bet turn again if he was shorter.

btw I just came out of downswing having lost like 1/4 or 1/3th of my roll so I'm still a bit paranoid

that 88 hand I actually thought he made straight with JQ on river lol
