You don't need to go that high, but you do want to discourage set mining. Make him put in another $2.50 so 3bet to $3.30 or so. That's what you want to be doing with your AA/KK hands at least; 3betting smaller to save money with hands like this is fine if he isn't going to catch on (i.e. don't make a habit of it).
