kj2137 is a big fish
reg who flats in the blinds is 13/10 pretty tight
forget that he had JJ here... what i want to know is, if other reg ONLY has KK and AA in his range here, how should i play it?
assumptions are he's going to stack off no matter what if he has an overpair by the river.
is it better to get it in on flop KNOWING he has AA / KK? or better to call and get it in on a flush, or reevaluate turn?
thanks |

why would you want to get it in on the flop KNOWING he has KK/AA? so that....you're behind? |

Board: 8c Qc 9d
Dead:
equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 57.879% 57.88% 00.00% 3438 0.00 { KK+ }
Hand 1: 42.121% 42.12% 00.00% 2502 0.00 { AcKc }
well because with 42% equity, that is 42% equity to the total pot, EVEN if i know he's calling my all in and im slightly behind.
but maybe its more +EV to check flop, and get it in with 100% EV if i hit my flush.
anyway ill do the maths behind it a bit later maybe

If you know he's still going to stack off when you hit your flush, take your free turn card and the cheap river. How could it possibly be better to get it all in on the flop?
The way you played:
58% chance to lose $80
42% chance to win $421
EV +130 (minus a bit from the times he has KK and one of the 3 aces hits I suppose - you win but he doesn't stack off)
All-in on flop:
58% chance to lose $342
42% chance to win $421
EV -22
It's not even close. |
