like without going into sicko leveling wars, the more i respect my villain i think the more this becomes a fold, unless i know he vbets superthin.

I assume you are calling JJ preflop because you think his button 3betting range is much wider and you wanna play a flop and get him to cbet etc.
Well its pretty obvious to him what kind of hand you have (a pair bigger than 8). i dunno ur history with this guy and so on but im pretty sure villian never has a K here. So basicly ur beat by AA or QQ or an 8 that decided to check back turn.
Therefor as played i'm calling since his range is so narrow.
I'm not a big fan of playing JJ OOP in a 3bet pot, therefor if you think his 3betting range is very wide in this spot i would simply 4bet/get it in instead of getting yourselfes into difficult spots.
