I should add that I think fold is the best, and a better way to play the hand might be to B/F, C/C, C/C.. or just C/C all 3 streets.. what do you think? |

how about reraising preflop? if you think their calling ranges make it unprofitable you have an image problem
but anyway I don't understand what you're doing. pf you don't reraise because presumably you think you can profit from villain's garbage hands by playing fancy guessing games OOP and giving him a cheap price to hit?
flop you put him on 22+ 87s+ 98o+ and tighter? So you check/raise and let all those hands fold. so now he repops you and suddenly his range has gone to TT+ and you beat basically nothing by pushing and have to fold to bluffs (note you didn't RR pf, he doesn't know you have jacks).
a better idea would have been to think of the hands you can get money from, and that's probably just by betting and calling raises. it's much easier to raise than to 4bet.
but then this wouldn't happen if you rr preflop. |

yea rr pre, as played I don't see why you raises really unless you bluffraise these boards a ton or he loves to float flop raises even more then me. Raise/folding JJ here is so bad/weird/makes no sense that you just can't do it though. So either raise/get it in or c/c. Donking seems superwierd and unless you've got reason to believe that villian will level himself into oblivion I think c/c all the way bet river if turn is checked on like anyish card is best. Could raise if he has like 85%+ cbet though, but then you should raise like 110% of your range, lol. |

No offence, but why on earth would you want to reraise there without history and then be inclined to fold when facing a 3bet? I also think that its a 3B pre, you need your JJ in that range imo. Also, b/f on this flop would be insanely weird.
Finally, if I were villain I'd look at your raise and think "wow, this dude is repping 0 stong hands and he is probably just full of shit". And if he isnt a completely nonthinking player he'll call there with alot of stuff that beats you. ---> Your hand is underrepped+your range is full of shit, and he is calling with some hands that beats you.
Looks like a classic move that I usually make, you've leveled yourself into a call/going allin. So do it. :D |
