Im still not sure if river is a call or not but flop I dont rly see much merit to betting unless im gonna be barreling to get him off a pair which will probably take 3 barrels and might not work, I cant rly bet it for value either unless we count the times he floats, turn I dont want to raise cuz im gonna get action mostly from hands that beat me and I can make my range look a lot wider flatting and let him a chance to fire a third barrel on a bluff.
We bet flop for many reasons.
1. Take down the pot now!
2. Make our flop-betting range less transparent and polarized.
3. We are ahead quite some time here aswell, and why not represent a good hand right away instead of saying "I got a bad pair".
4. By checking you give his hands equity, hands which missed the flop.
On a last note I could agree that betting flop is spewy if villain loves to float/ bluff raise flop.
i dont think my range here would be rly transparet if every time I check I have air and rly polarized if I only checked air and nuts. I would bet this some of the time too tho.
