What is he betting the river with that will fold to a shove ?? I can only think of a 3 and maybe a 7 although you can't always be sure what he does with the 7x here... Think too many calling hands in his range for you to make this shove, then again I don't play 200NL so I may not be qualified to say.

I just spazz when I have 6 or more tables open (was in the middle of a table change and running out of time so I shove cuz I couldn't see what he would check turn with and bet river except for nut flush mayyyyybe)

but it still doesn't seem so bad to me because once again what does a reg have on the turn that they check and then bet/call river?? it seems horrible

and no I haven't played w/ this guy before and I don't usually make big bluffs like this where I would have a history of doing so

rly looking for legitimate responses explaining a little bit here cuz as villain I don't see myself chk'ing turn
hmm nvm I was just thinking how he's oop and he probably wanted to c/r vs a 7 or w/e?
FUCKIN CHECK RAIS E!!!!!!!!!

Well probably not since he has the 7.

But even tough his hand doesnt make sense to you, your line is ever more nonsense. Are you checking back a flush on turn? Probably not. Are you checking back a straight? Perhaps, but probably no.

When you jam river it does look really weird.

It looks like his play worked pretty fine, doing things people "never do" (like oh god he cant have a flush on turn b/c he checked back the flop etc. -not reffering to this hand) can't be that bad once in a while, esp. against other regulars.

I hear u, ty

as far as my line I thought it repped a flush OK but maybe not.. I think checking a flush in my position on turn is ok?

what range do you think people bet-x-bet here btw?

i expect he thought something like he wouldnt get much action on that turn except from hands that would be betting anyway
and i guess you cant really have a set or the As(since it would have to be a flush by now given the board/action)

SpasticInk   Sweden. Sep 23 2009 18:07. Posts 6298

Well i'm not totally against the shove b/c it will be really hard for him to call a shove with an overpair, which is kind of congruent with his line (bet-x-bet). Depends a bit how thin he valuebets. If he valuebets thin i like this shove more, if he valuebets only strong/air hands here, a shove is totally useless.

thanks shabb yah that's something that was definitely absent from my thought process when I was playing this hand due to too many tables...

I was thinking he has to fold overpairs and sets

problem is I really don't have any history with this guy to know how he plays, jus tthat he's a long term winner @ a good BB/100 on PTR

looks like a good spot to 3bet preflop

collegesucks   United States. Sep 23 2009 19:12. Posts 5780

given how loosely he opens + how the pot size doesn't really allow him to 4bet/fold so he's pretty much going to be forced to fold a lot more often than in a regular game

terrybunny19240   United States. Sep 23 2009 20:21. Posts 13829

I wanted to play IP vs the sick fish in the middle but yah I should probably 3b or fold pre until I'm like 150bb+ deep w/ them
