with the ace on the flop and him calling your pf raise - you shouldn't have called to the river. IMO. But either way - what a fuck knuckle for playing that hand to the river like he did! |

Yea I know but they were both making crazy raises pf with hands like q10 off etc and when they checked on the turn I figured they didn't have an ace. Maybe I should've check called the river :/ |

How much would you have bet? |

Short essays are like miniskirts, they are short enough to keep your attention but long enough to cover the subject. | |

On these limits I don't even think I'd bet the flop here. Players are so bad they dont mind playing A7o against preflop reraises much.
On the higher limits I probably bet the flop, either they call and you're sure they have AK/AQ, or they fold their pocket pairs and you win the pot. But lower limits the chances are huge people have an ace, or even call you with less and then you're sitting there out of position with QQ on Axxx, which you will have to fold anyway after you check the turn.
Besides this I don't see any possible reason to bet the river here. Let's say the guy has and ace or better he's not going to fold to your bet, but if he has LESS than an ace there he's also not going to call. So why bet? Might as well check-call the same amount you were willing to bet yourself to save you some money. Although I think you should check-fold. Just saying that if you consider betting this river, you should instead decide to check-call. |

I usually play 10$ sngs on ps and I never play ring games so I'm not sure how to play in these micro limits yet. I guess I kinda just have to play basic solid poker with no nonsense. Also I don't know about check-fold knowing how those two play but I def should've check-called. |
