if he's the person i'm thinking of off the top of my head he doesn't squeeze enough for this to happy. Plus we have position which is always a nice thing to have and not throw away with a coinflip hand. |

yeah why not just play a flop with this hand? |
|
The only hands a nit balances in his range are the nuts, the second nuts, and the third nuts.

o that's a lot higher then I remember. Guess I don't mind this as much then. I was thinking his SQ was like 8
you can still easily take a flop against this guy since you probably have some idea of how he plays post. He most likely plays really straight forward in 3bet pots. |

lol what's he gunna do setmine pre? 77 is gunna play poorly in a 3b pot, just fold here and look for better spots.
i'd rather backraise with JJ+ if the guy's gunna squeeze 16% of the time. |

what is the range of hands you're going to be call/calling in position vs someone who squeezes a lot then? |

this depends to much on the player to be answered w/o knowing about them postflop. |

good broadway hands for me (if I didn't 3b the original raiser) if all I know is that they are sqz'ing a lot I guess. Probably just fold usually.. |

i dont mind the backraise
i think calling is suicide
obv the result sucks but youre doing this with JJ and AQ as well
edit: I should also add that this being a "coinflip" hand makes it an even better jam because of all the dead money in the pot not to mention he folds some % of the time, i mean he almost folded ATo and that's gotta be like near the top of his squeezing range. so backraising is definitely +EV, and so the only question is whether or not calling is much more +EV which I feel given our specific hand and stack sizes, isn't (by far). If you ever call and fold before the river it ends up being pretty shitty because you never ever get to fully realize your equity vs hands like ATo and you either make bad folds or shitty call downs a lot of the time. |

Pretty standard if you're going to continue instead of fold the clear play is to move all-in, very standard shove against players that are squeezing with like AT too often |

thanks mez, pretty sure I remembered a hand where you advocated a similar play to this. |

If your taking this line, then reraise to 88 and call off all day, don't just shove it. |

Browsing through your hand histories makes me wonder that you might not be aware these games are possibly play money. Have you ever tried to cash out? - Kapol

nah then I can't win his stack when he calls it off with AT vs my AQ imo |

you hand is completely face up here. U have JJ+ 2% of the time here and the rest u have exactly what ur hand is here while his calling range is either crushing or flipping. |

so then I win a bunch of money in the middle all the times he folds |

are you guys insane? night is calling a UTG opener from UTG+1, he has AQ/AK / big pairs in his range a very significant % of the time, that ATs call is completley retarded |

i mean, if villian calls here with ATo, then your play is profitable since the guy is obviously really bad. |

Fwiw I think 4betting to 88 is stupid since we are not folding any hand what-so-ever at that point. And if we 4bet smaller there's the risk he takes a flop (some people do that) and then we hate life a lot.
I shove too. |
