the thing about flatting is that it really requires you to lay down your hand.. i mean with aa if you 3bet it 100bb deep, they never have odds to setmine and you can justify going with it every single time.. but if you flat, then you also have to be able to fold when they hit their set. |

well you flat here for two reasons (excluding trying to catch someone squeezing i suppose)
1. he's a tight player and you don't want to commit a lot of chips without seeing multiple streets
2. he's a loose player that has a hard time finding marginal folds so you want to force him to make a mistake by commiting a lot of chips with a dominated hand on the flop/turn
looks like you took the first part of reason 1 and combined it with the second part of reason 2 which is icky |
