i think i like 3betting the mr to get it in on this board unless we are VERY confident that he is the type of player who either (a) thinks A8 is the stone nuts here and won't fold even if we hit our hand, or (b) would be timid to raise here with 55 because it's "just bottom set"

i think you're gonna have plenty of FE and obv lots of equity vs his range that gets it in

flatting is definitely fine but on this board i think the FE of a 3bet is too good to pass up

if it's like AJ5 and we have QTs w FD then i am much more inclined to flat, figuring opponent almost never has a hand that wants to fold if he X/MR there
