might check preflop.
and the turn is more of a bet than it is a call. when you bet, plenty of worse hands will continue. if you check and he bets (especially when he pots it), youre now continuing vs a much stronger range of hands.
from this and your KJo hand i think youre check/calling turns way too much instead of betting them and you are probably losing tons of value.

waht can he have on turn that's worse? flushes and straights got there. bet/call in that case? or bet/fold when he raises
