Dunno Truebornblue, he was pretty new to the table at the time IIRC. He looked tag-reggish in the small sample IIRC.

Obviously a fantastic flop but how do we proceed?

Check and hope for a free card? Bet and hope we can 2 barrel him off a midpair?

I considered it, but what would I be trying to accomplish with it - I'm not sure. Like, if he's betting a hand, is he folding it? What kind of better hands will he bet /fold? What worse hands will he bet/fold?

Like, let's say he cold/calls AK, is he even betting the flop? And if I bet, he's probably just folding it right?

At the same time, it really sucks when we can't get it in on the flop, since I am not at all sure if we can barrel a complete blank.

Check/R could be good for the free-card potential tho... followed by maybe bet-bet if he checks.

Hm.. Off-suite socks..

C/r is the easy way out. It works out decently but it's the easy way out. Barreling is probably better if you have some idea what your doing. Betting turn and getting shoved on sucks so you need to bet really big here (standard oop anyway) and shove almost any turn. It's a fairly connected flop so your cbet range here *should* be really strong so it's not a problem to cbet huge anyway.

fwiw I'm not really a fan of the 3bet pre either, Could be ok if you know that the button 4bet bluffs a ton (Axs works well as hands to shove in their face) or if the bb loves to squeeze in which case it's bad to just call.
