Can you perform EV calculations against villain's perceived range for A) Check raise B) Call flop lines with pen and paper in less than 2 minutes and compare our EV for both lines with taking possible turn cards into consideration?

If not you could make use of Pokerazor or StoxEV :o

sure he could...but it's so much easier to just accept that calling flop isn't a bad play.

dont tap the glass...im about ready to take a fucking hammer to the aquarium

Why? its not a bad play only if a check raise gives less Expected Value against villain's range and likely reaction and turn and river cards

are you guys serious

Anything else that the most +ev option is a bad play, so calling on flop can be indeed a bad play

could you please stop saying check raise cuz were in position lol and its pretty easy to estimate those sort of things plus a lot of other factors come into play than what youve mentioned. Also I dont know villian or the history prior to this hand but I can see a ton of situations where a call is indeed higher EV than a raise, actually it prolly applies the majority of the time.
