In the flop I thought I would scare him off, and if not I would check/fold on the turn. He's passive, so since he called from the SB maybe I should have been more cautious? The check/call from a passive player looked like he had a strong hand. On the turn I got the two pairs and just went with it even though I was feeling hesitant, thinking he might have A over 9,K, or Q; in the rush I figured he had any Ax or a missed flush draw. But if I thought I had him beat did I bet too large?
I don't know if my bets on the flop and turn were correct, assuming he's a limper and/or tight passive player. But now that I went through the hand I feel a little better about what I did.
I'm perplexed that his check/calling completely screwed me. |
