when is it time to do something like this? villain over 125 hands has 3bet my btn 4 times from the SB, this is the 5th (so 5/16 times). I've folded 3 times, called once with AJs and folded to his cbet on 578ss. What do you think I should do on the turn or flop?
he seems tight and reasonably passive otherwise (23/15/7% 3bet), haven't seen him in 3bet pots w anyone else, or any showdown pots ingeneral.. |

I'm not sure many people would pot the turn with air? I think I'd rather turn our hand in to a semi bluff on the flop if you are planning to call it down as that flop doesn't hit any of his range AND if he cbets a high % generally (I know you only have 2 3bet pot examples). I realize it doesn't hit your 3bet calling range either but what is he going to do with Ax/KQ etc when you make it $15.50 or something like that on the flop (as he is reasonably passive)? This might also slow him down a little with the 3bets. Alternatively you could just fold turn and wait for a decent hand to 4bet bluff with to calm down his 3betting.
Presumably you close eyes and click call on the river if he shoves?
Interesting to hear other thoughts here. |

Probably fold turn.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with 4bet --> getting it in imo |

And yeah, I'd simply go by odds on turn without reads, he doesn't give them to us with that size ever |

Line is fine imo, obviously choosing when to do this is the hard part. Just keep in mind that when someone has been 3betting you alot he probably know that you know, and he probably expects you to be frustrated and itching to make a calldown. Seems like he even checked river to induce a bluff, which isn't giving you credit for much. |

wait you folded a nut flush draw with overs+backdoor straight in a 3bet pot? If so then that's a major mistake. |
