could use some help with hands like these because these are the type of hands are just so confusing to play.
what should i do in this situation?
i put him on overcards really, maybe i should have reraised more.
the problem is when its not overcards but overpair.
any rock-solid advice for me?

since he raised preflop he might have an face pair, and got scared of those 2 sixes, thats my opinion.

i checked hand history, he had raised once more during 7-8 hands or so.
so his raise-range could be bigger, hence the reraise hm.
would just like to know how others play this.

I wonder what you would have done when he would have called your bet, the turn would be a face card and he checked it.

Most of the time I get myself in problems here cause I 'would bet again and he'll call me again. It makes it even worse when he bets the river, a low card for example.

hm, exactly, thats why i think the reraise should be bigger, to minimise the call and him catching his overcard chance.
i guess it all comes down to his preflop aggression and a read of somesort?

meh looks like he made a standard continuation bet at the pot with overcards since its unlikely you hit anything, especially on this board, and raising is the cheapest way to find out where you are since he might fire again bigger on the turn if you just call which puts you to a harder and more expensive decision. i think you have to lose some chips on this hand if you're behind, i prolly do a similar raise and fold to a push unless maybe i saw from hh this guy was a maniac. it'll get trickier if he has a high enough overpair like AA KK and decides to try and trap (i dont see TT-QQ doing this as much since they're more vulnerable to scary overcard turns). i don't mind either checking it down or pushing a rag turn if he checks to you. but most likely the raise on the flop kills cbet from AK AQ or whatever as it did in this case.

i don't think it fits with my aggressive style, i could be giving up so many chips when folding.
i guess if his pf raise range is big enough i could make a profit even if sometimes he goes allin on me.

Definitely, if he calls that bet then he has you beat with a 6, a set or a face pair.
