what do you do with AJ instead? call ? fold to later bets? try to get to showdown otherwise?

Not really, without a read of some kind.

The board is very co-ordinated, yes it hits your range but I don't see him folding 77+ with position on this flop, really he only folds hands that you beat and small pairs and some 6x hands (which aren't that likely due to his 2 dollar open), if you're going to do it I think it'd be better to raise to like 8-8.50 and then bet like 14 on the turn or something. However I do not like that at all really because the board hits alot of hands, and really you're just firing blind into him. Equally you're oop and an Ace or a Jack is really not necessarily at all going to make you the best hand, and you have no way of knowing until you commit another bet on the turn, at which time you'l be getting like 3.5-1 on your money to call anyway and be shown his straight/set/2p.

Some stats on opponents would be nice too..

If you want to do this do it on like K63 flops or w/e, oop on flops that are going to be peeled alot aren't the best..

I also understand why you made it 10 not less on the flop, you want to just get him off those marginal hands, unfortunately its 50nl and that extra bit of money on the flop could be better used to keep the pot that bit smaller so you could make a better looking bluff on the turn, not that I advocate that strategy necessarily I just think its better than a hammer raise on the flop.

poker is soooo much easier when you flop sets

I donk this flop a lot here; but I regularly donkbet on drawy boards; it gives so much room to play later where I feel a checkraise can make the hand hard to play with no nutted equity.

Researchers used brain scans to show that when straight men looked at pictures of women in bikinis, areas of the brain that normally light up in anticipation of using tools, like spanners and screwdrivers, were activated.

you don't find your donks getting raised a lot here by all of the suspicious flushdraws and all of that?

Not really no, since people expect me to be donk/jamming a lot and don't want to be blown off their hand or have to call off a non nutted flush or str8 draw to an allin, similarly having to call off a big hand that is either crushed or flipping. Like people flat aces to the donks.

I have experimented with donking here before and it didn't seem to be working out but I will start donking or just x/f'ing since it looks like x/r or x/c aren't really good options

its fine to do this sometimes with a hand that has some backdoors and when your percieved range smacks this board pretty hard, you shouldnt do this tho if you give up on the turn every time when you dont turn a good card for you. donking is fine, check folding is fine, check calling is def not fine.
