you played this about as bad as possible. raise to 3x big blinds and add 1 additional big blind for each additional limper. so in this case .08 to go is perfect. Buy in for full stack. If you want to maximize your edge that's the way to do it is by having bigger effective stacks.

bet the flop 3/4 to pot sized. Min raising is extremely bad because you aren't makign enough money from ANY of the cards in his hand range. even a random T5 will have enough equity in the hand to call your raise on the flop. Min raising accomplishes nothing 99% of the time. if you want to make any money in poker you gotta bet big.

as played fold turn. and jesus wtf are you doing on river.

eZ Life.

TBH I've just began playing online (mostly done RL games with friends) and found this site through TeamLiquid. I assumed posting hands here I'm 99.9% sure I played wrongly here might get me some help. I've read some basic stuff but I'm doing absolutely awfully when it comes to figuring anything out post-flop. :X

The more I think about this now afterwards the more I can see how completely stupidly I played. Should I have realized he had a pocket pair (or something else really good like AKs) when he called my first raise pre-flop?

It's true that what I did on the river was unacceptable (idk what I was even thinking tbh), and I see why you guys are calling it a train wreck. Thanks for the insight. >_>
