The villain (18vpip) calls a strong raise on the flop. I decide make a continuation bet on the flop, because otherwise it's much more likely that I trap, than have QQ or KK here. Surprisingly, he calls.
By calling on the flop, he shows that he's caught a piece of the flop. Since he's tight, that's most likely AK or AQs or SET.
The turn card is perfect. It allowes me to slow down, represending either AQ or a missed flop, which I took a stab on with a continuation bet. Most of the time here, the guys will bet here strongly, which means money for your top set. He checks.
I check again after delaying a bit. He bets, as he should... he's obviously made a strong hand and I've shown weakness since turn.
Ok so why go all-in here? Because the first thing that comes into villain's mind is.. I'm trying to buy the pot. Since I'm an aggressive player, and I missed two streets worth of chance to bet here.. obviously I'm just missed my board (maybe JJ or QQ?)
Ok you might note that a player would go all-in with a set anyhow.. but consider the situation where he has AK or AQ instead. With me continously betting the hand throughout turn and river, he would have folded AQ instantly, and thought for a long time calling all-ins with AK, fearing AA or KK.
