okayyy i 3 betted to find out more info about his hand .... thats why cause lets say i flat i flop an ace or a queen im still calling the flop but now this is much easier fold... thats my reasoning

thats really flawed logic. so basically with AQ here youre either gonna find out youre ahead preflop when he folds, or if he continues youre gonna assume youre behind and never be happy with top pair. youre taking a moderately strong hand and making it so that you never get to play against weaker hands. do you see the problem with that?

if you flat you can keep in all of his weaker hands like AJ/KQ, etc, especially given positions cutoff vs button. you will be totally fine calling a cbet on Qxx or Axx bcuz ppl are going to cbet those boards a very high % of the time and he can also be value betting worse.

then you can use your position to better figure out whether you are ahead or behind his range. does he double barrel a lot of turns? does he value bet wide? if hes not very aggressive and he continues betting huge on the turn/river you can fold at some point. if you know he likes to bluff a lot or value bets very wide like QJ/QT or AJ/AT you can call more.

in general never raise someone with moderate strength hands to "find out where you are", especially if you have position.

well you're putting in the same amount of money, but if you just called pre you get to keep playing your hand and see the turn
