Can someone tell me if this is ok?
I'm never comfortable raising into an A so any advice on that especially with overcards with pocket pairs?
I just joined the table and checked the previous hands if he was in any, only one I see is him winning with a JT so turn I'm a little cautious.
River check or just shove? |

raise 4bb +1 per limper pre
flop is good, your bet here will always show a profit
Turn is a shove unless you think he is really aggro and would bluff here, which would require a lot of history and solid read. Turn raises are almost always for value and you are way ahead of his value range, don't need to be cautious
river would be a check if you think turn raise was a bluff and he will bluff river again, but turn raises are 99% for value, especially when the turn doesn't really change the board. In all other cases a river shove is better.
Your line (turn call, river check) would be the one to take if you thought he was bluffing, you should try to play a stronger, more value-oriented style.

Thanks, I have noticed that I tend to be cautious on most things except the best hand, I will try to be more aggressive with good hands and to not fear a shove |
