Villain is 20/13 with a fold to c-bet of 23%, and turn of 20%.
For those reasons i decided to value bet my hand.
When he raises he's not reppign anything but a hand turned into a bluff it would seem.
If i had an Ace i would be betting turn and possibly be betting a lot of rivers, and similarly i would be betting the river as a bluff a lot of the time
I also would be bluffing this, when he raises here it makes no sense, as i definitely can have flushes, Ax, and air all he would fold out all the air type hands, which i probably would be double-barrelign with, for that reason it seems like he's turning a hand into a bluff here or bluffing with a gutter ball hand such as 56 T9 or KdQ, which he definitely calls the flop with.
The river is a blank and he tanked bets the river. He tanked for a good 15 seconds. The river is a pretty terrible river. But given his timing and his range it seemed like i probably should have called this river in hindsight, due to the weakness of his range. My range can definitely have Ax here though, i'm not entirely sure if he's thinking too much. |

Dude, no. Turn bet is fine, but you have to fold to his raise. Him raising there would fold out air, but you can be b/fing turn for value as well with 2p/set type hands he wants value from as well. |

You put a range of hands on him as gutterballs or overcards to float with, but no flush draws? Strong range. |

sorry, didn't realise people actually read posts here.
@ Feti, because i would expect his bluff frequencies to go down, as the board paired, i can have Ax here and so i couldn't call, which was my plan.
@ TheHuhu, yeah, that wasn't his entire range just the range i believed he would be raising with as unbalanced as it seems. Just i find it rare that people raise the turn with made flushes, especially when an Ace peels i would think he would call call as i can have a lot of single diamonds which double barrel as well as Ax in my range which he can pick up another bet on the river with (which possibly will fold to a turn raise, Ax that is and of course any single diamond hand)

Cheers for the responses. I guess essentially I believed that his range was very polarised, and because of how narrow it was calling down would be profitable as I didn't believe he would play the strong part of his range that way, but thats probably just me imposing my own views on him. |

The only hands a nit balances in his range are the nuts, the second nuts, and the third nuts. | |
