i wasnt quite sure what to do here.

This is only the 2nd in the game, so no real action so far.

I flat called the flop, because i thought a raise would force the player left to act out and i was a bit scared of a diamond. The turn was gay, but not much i can do about that, but i decided to all in to force any douche with D's out, my best hope was for someone to call with 2 pair, trips are out of the question unless they limped but i doubt it.

Should i check the turn and hope to dodge scary cards on the river?

reraise flop ace will give you action
problem with this flop is the more cards you see the worse it gets, another diamond/queen/jack will kill your action thats a total of 15 cards. 2/3 of the time your action will be dead on the turn if you slowplay
Since it was rasied preflop a man with an ace is more than happy to call a reraise and be stacked

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same
