So here, putting together his size, timing, and recent hand i feel he's very light......i love my hand +pos so lets play it,
According to his stats he's betting folp/turn quite often,so we call the turn knowing that even if he has it i'll take it away from him on a bunch of river like 7 9 3 4 and diamonds, plus i can improve....LUCKY ME!!!....plus i still think he's full of it....
SO:AM I OVERPLAYING HERE?I MEAN SHALL I JUST WAIT TO PLAY 2/4 plus to think this way?
If i'm so sure that he's full of it should i shove over his cbet on the flop with my EV+my read?
Should i shove over his cbet on the turn ?...prob vs good opponents b/c on the turn would be hard for me to keep slow play right? |

.............also right after that, and i had the best off him twice and hiss revenge-bluff didn't work should i try to go after him b/c his confidence/reads vs me are down now ?
i am assuming that from this point of the session he won't reise light much,so whenever he call pre he's weak and he's not trapping so prob i should fire a bunch vs him right?

ok good questions
- first off, yeah they love to play back right away, but u seem to like ur hand and u have pos like u said
- u know he barrels flop and turn but so far not sure on river, so I def like the way u played it. Like u said u have raw eq + assumed bluffing equity on the cards u said
- u would need to shove earlier in the hand if he was the type that just fires all 3 all the time (so far u said flop and turn and also its 1/2 where players are less likely to fire 3 then 2/4+). Also, u would prefer to have a better hand like 89 so u can actually get it in vs worse like 67, 78, diamonds, etc. A6 here when the 5 rolls off is basically behind everything but 67 for the range we felt against except the naked fds but even they most likely have the overs
so at this level, w/o much history I would prolly call flop and turn if I called preflop as u did
at 2/4 I would be more likely to shove at some point (I often raise flops smallish trying to induce a spaz at 400nl+ from like Adx - since they are capable of that, and I know I'm calling. SO I'd rr the flop like 24 to 50 for example)
What to do vs the player is based on your style of play and ur mentality. If he is playing u pretty straightforward and weaker, well that is a bonus cuz it's one less reg to worry about and u can concentrate on beating the other players while not having him bother you. Or u u might think u have a good edge over him and target him, esp if there aren't any worse players at the table. So some people aren't the type to really hammer guys, which is ok, and others like to really punish guys. Or u might mix it up day by day based on how ur feeling. I don't think either is better or worse overall, just playing in the middle of the 2 is the worst. Cuz now ur going after him sometimes but playing weak other times and it leads to u getting confused. Either hammer him nonstop or play straight vs him cuz he is vs u type deal. |
