Hero raises [$2.50 USD]

Maybe that is part of the problem

I started out with nothing and I still got most of it left

Not really if he steals the blinds a lot that's perfectly fine... Raise more flop though and If you intend to tarp you have to bet turn stronger imo

Odds are exactly 50%: it either happens or notLast edit: 06/01/2011 11:02

ya, 2,5x btn is fine, however It's not a bad idea to adjust and raise more when some drooling fish is in the sb/bb...

gotta raise flop and bet turn more however

No it isn't, the dude must be a 60VPIP+, your range will be weighted towards value hands and you should raise more as a standard PF and build the pot.

I'm opening to 2.5bb cause the other guy 3bets a lot and i'm opening lots of buttons. If there was a drooler and a passive reg i'll make it bigger. I still think u can make an argument for raising to 3x though.

He must be 3betting like 20%+ not to make it better to just fuck him and play optimally against the fish no?

lol then raise 2.5bb normally and make it 4bb+ with aces

LemOn[5thF]   Czech Republic. Jan 06 2011 11:36. Posts 15163

Well that's exploitable, raising more with your entire range because there is fish in the blinds isn't. If the reg won't exploit it then sure, why not.

With one aggressive reg and one high VPIP fish it is pretty clear that you adapt to the fish, not to the reg.

If he calls 61 % of the time, you really want to start building the pot from the very beginning.

ya that makes sense though I avoid it for some retarded reason (aka i'm not balancing my range if I raise bigger with strong hands), but who cares fish wont notice and reg neither prolly.

i dont see how you guys are nitpicking so much with the pf play when he should have bombed flop and bombed turn. the pf size is completely standard, and is not the problem

Its time to stop thinking like a bitch and think smart like a poker player - ket

Besides the obvious reason of building a bigger pot, some guys will also have to factor in that they have a hard time folding pocket aces
