Villain has a set basically 100% of the time here. Still stack off on flop?

pokerstove says you're even money against a set if I can do pot math right also never say 100%

I thought that (even money) as well as I was playing the hand, but:

Board: Td 9d 4c
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 42.121% 42.12% 00.00% 3753 0.00 { QdJd }
Hand 1: 57.879% 57.88% 00.00% 5157 0.00 { TT-99, 44 }

Given this and rake, getting it in shouldn't be profitable unless we have some FE. (Even if he has AA we are only 54%, which isn't enough to be better than break-even against the rake.)

god 6/2 kinda gross but only 48 hands.

your equity is so good here that stacking cant be a huge mistake.

since you are in position you could flat the minraise and try and spike your straight/flush and stack him though.

stacking def can't be a huge mistake but his bet sizing tells me he's gonna give you good odds on turn (along with excellent odds on flop) to play passive and you're almost certainly guaranteed his stack on 6 of your outs, against a meganit i think calling is superior despite how awesome the draw is

zzz this is sooo results oriented...

@Tom: Do you really think he can show up with worse than an overpair here? Or is the point that his range contains things he might fold after the flop raise, so we have enough FE to make a flop 3bet profitable (and then stacking off is mandatory)?

i'd prolly just flat the min raise, he probably can't fold a set once u hit ur flush and he obviously pays you off when u hit straight

Im not sure what to do tomorrow when I see her, should I shake her hand?? -Floofy

how come limp behind? it looks like he has a small pocket pair which he will check fold 8 times out of 9 on flop?

sunnysky7   . Jan 23 2011 03:22. Posts 1549

i would just flat since fish always make the mistake to minraise and tell "I HAVE A SET" and never fold it on later streets

most important that u r in position , even u hit the flush or str8 that he would still fire the turn to see where he stand and committ himself

say you were a little bit tighter, like 20/17 or even more

how big is chance that such a nit would fold bottom set here?
