Disregarding results, is this a standard call? Thought he had AK/AQ personally but feels rather spewy calling with 3rd pair there :/

don't 3bet this pre, and if you do, make it a lot bigger

think about it, he has to call 8c more with 21c already in the pot and he gets to play in position against your shitty ace

also fold to the 4bet because it makes your hand even harder to play, his range crushes yours and you're playing out of position

basically this is a situation you shouldn't be in in the first place

lol im a freaking cow

He's opened a lot from button/CO. Ideally wanted to take the pot down with the 3bet, which yeh should of been bigger in retrospect.
Surely can't fold to the min 4bet, 8cents and pots 30c+.

I see your point though, can and should of got in a lot of trouble with this hand the way I played it out.

can't take the pot down if you're giving him those odds!

honestly i think defending your blind is something you really don't need to worry about at 2NL, just play tight and straightforward and people will pay you off all the time because they like to play inferior hands, it's as easy as that

it's true that he's laying you even better odds with the min4bet but consider the range you are up against and how your hand plays against that range - KQo is one of the very worst hands he should be showing up with here

you flop an ace and you're forced to stack off against what will usually be a better ace

you flop a 7 and basically hope he has AK and you just sucked out on him

most of the time you flop nothing and have to give up the pot

none of those scenarios are very appealing considering you could just give him your 2c and wait for a better spot to rape him

lol im a freaking cow
