Well after two barrels and the board running out like this, he probably doesnt have many bluffs.
Trying to make someone fold, who doesnt have a good amount of bluffs in his range is usally not good, since he needs to fold a big percentage of valuehands.
On the other hand i can understand how you would come to make this play. You see a small bet and assume, he does this with some kind of twopair.
It really depends on the villain.
If it is a fish, it is way more likely that he can be bluffing here, although he might just not do it, since he flats KQ/AQ/ pf and also fish usually make these kind of small bet bluffs.
but it is still not great.
Vs a reg i think, there is really now bluffrange for him to have here.
Also you can ask yourself, why it wouldnt be better to simply bet yourself instead of going for a checkraise.

The problem I'm having is that the geniuses at micros blockbet/thin value bet wit hsomething like 2p on this board and then when you raise them they call anyway because they think they induced
Also again he is not a fullstack so I'd assume he's likely to be a fish and they are usually expert bluffcathers.
I think this is great against straightforward regs on the weaker side who wouldn't bet a 9 like this and they just see scary board/easy to be beat/I fold. I presume he is completely unknown? |

I don't like anything about this. It's pretty straightforward actually.
You're not repping a 9 here since you would almost certainly be betting river instead of c/r. Also he can easily have a 9 himself which is almost certainly not folding either. Well executed bluffs are ideally when your perceived range is very strong and villain's range is weak. In this case you can't really satisfy either requirement. |
