Easy bet - we don't expect him to raise this turn too often after flatting that drawy flop and the number of draws available to us opens up his calling range, as well as obviously the number of draws available to him and the need to charge them.

I played standard ABC poker, although he might have spewy stats and reads since we played on October...

Would you just check and try to get to showdown, or would you turn it into a bluff and barrel river J and higher? Or would you just check most rivers?

Yeah Oly I think I am biased by results (88) I think you are right there are a lot of draws in his range and it's basically a blalue bet on turn v draws/77 88 99 A7

he never has a strong hand when he flats the flop, which gives you god's right to barrel stacks off. he would ALWAYS c/r 2 pairs and sets on that board as well as most flush draws. all i think oly was implying.

however at these stakes i see ppl call down 88's to the river so i don't mind checking turn/river just to see his hand. if i see overcards that lets me know he can call flop with air which not many ppl do, if i see him with 88's (or similar hand, which i think is going to be the most likely hand) ill choose to barrel broadway cards on future turns, if i see a flush draw i will make a note that he can c/call a flush draw and that he doesn't always c/r esp on such a damn good board to c/r a flush draw

Yeah, but it's even better than that - we can give him 34s, 45s, 44, A5, A3, and we can also give him stuff which calls putting us on a draw because he is terrible such as 22, AJ, AQ, A7. I'm sure you have seen yourself called by those stupid hands in this spot a fair amount and to get annoyed about that when your draw misses and you decide not to barrel the river and facepalm as he flips AQ - well the converse of that situation is to barrel for value here.
