i think you played it fine. it is difficult to gauge people's ranges in these spots. more often than not though, especially at this limit i would say ppl's ranges are more nut heavy.
but this is precisely why you need specific reads if you are ever going to move up.
also as a follow up, i think you can make a note that he raises draws is position to get a free card. if he had a set or a two pair hand like T7, or a hand like 89 i think he would quite often barrel the turn.
maybe he has guts to fire raise flop, but can't follow through.
not a bad spot to call 6.5 and see his hand.

calling flop is really bad because you're out of position and there are a ton of cards that you really don't want to see on the turn. Either 3bet flop or fold.
I'm getting it in vs most people on the flop here.

thats what i normally do, but lately they ALWAYS seem to have at least a set if I reraise them on the flop
