i like. A flop check is range is normally very weak and betting has a larger fold equity than normal.

i woudlt do this against a bad player, its more likely he will valuebet himself 3 streets with AT prettymuch then be calling down + he is gonna bluff a shitton aswell when the board runs out like this

and its cool to protect my KQ QT KK etc range

Probably start by c/c since he's doing this to protect his c/c range.

if i decide to check KK on this board against this villain i would checkfold, against him i would prolly bet and try to check it down hopeing he has a Q and checks behind turn/riv

but vs some players i would check/call KK 3 streets here, vs some i cbet and ch/call turn and decide on riv

people are terrible at valuebetting weak Ax in these spots, or even like AT AJ on AQx boards, they are afraid of like AK or what ever so im pretty comfortable normally bluffcatching with KK or random 2ndpair/weak Ax

but against this villain i would not, because of him valuebetting light here aswell

it all comes down to history and stuff, and dynamic that specific day, i dont like haveing static ranges at all basically so there is no 1 way for me to play KK on this board

bad reg is bad

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the sameLast edit: 11/07/2011 01:44

obv he dosnt know this

i think he assumes i have a shit shit shit ton of Qx and KK etc thats gonna check call flop and turn 100% and fold river when he can rep KT AJ AQ and flushes etc

and i think he expects me to CB flop with Ax everytime because thats what ive been doing always in 3b pots, go for thin value on multiplesterets

and he is not a bad reg, he plays up to 50/100€$ on all networks, is a pokercoach for pokercampus, been around for a long time and is respected etcetcetc

i wonder how your opponents feel about getting their tendencies perfectly deconstructed so they can get outplayed every time. gotta be kinda demoralizing

question: would you play 99/AQ/AK like this as well? seems to be the best line for max value until he catches on and adjusts his tendencies.
