I can understand your play on all streets except the river.
I mean, pretty much any diamond has to call a decent bet. You could also get some money off a naked Q. And I don't see anyone firing into that river card. |

questions arent pertaining to what happened so much as speculatives
1. if you had TT in position how do you play the flop?
2. say he raises on the flop, should i shove?
3. say you have TT, raise the flop, get shoved on, do you call?
4. how do you play AA on the turn if he best 250? |

and btw to answer kory and baal the only mistake i made on this hand was betting too small on the flop. i didnt see the other guy call and just typed in 56 assuming it was a 63 pot. should have bet harder. i think checking the turn is fine and checking the river is the only play.
i mean think about what youre saying kory, you dont see anyone bluffing the river in position, but you see people calling with a queen or rag diamond when someone OUT OF POSITION is possibly bluffing it? i mean come on, im not getting any value and im just spewing vs the SF which is well within his range |

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same | |

1. if you had TT in position how do you play the flop?
A raise out of the SB with one limper in front? I think we'd be able to narrow your hands down a bit.
I also don't think I could flat your flop bet; I'd have to see where I was at in the hand. That said, pretty much every hand in your range got a piece of that flop, and I'd be opening myself up to a 3-bet from Qd*, AK, et cetera, and I'm not sure how much pressure my bottom set could stand for.
Hmm, I guess I could understand his slowing down from that aspect.
2. say he raises on the flop, should i shove?"
If he makes it $150 on the flop, he'll have ~$290 behind; approx. a PSB. I like a push here. If you're playing against a straight/set/minflush (and you may have some FE against some of those hands), you have some decent odds on your money before the turn.
3. say you have TT, raise the flop, get shoved on, do you call?
I sort of mentioned that in #1...hmm...
I guess it'd depend on how aggressive you'd been out of the blinds for the last few orbits...if I saw you splashing around in the last few orbits, I'd probably look you up.
4. how do you play AA on the turn if he best 250?
Well, he'd only have ~$110 behind after that bet, so he's really betting $360.
I think we can release our aces at this point; we have less than 15BB's in the middle.

I don't know man, you proceeded carefully throughout the hand; the pot's small, there really isn't much to give up if he decides to shove it.
And we're bankin' on the fact that he's holding the Qd.
If I'm holding a queen, or a diamond here -- any diamond -- with the way the action has played out, I'm calling a $190 bet on the end. I mean, 8d is the 3rd nuts!
EDIT: Well, maybe not, but he plays short-stacked so you never know! |

i like a 100$ bet on the river to make some ppl call with bluffcatchers because they get such good odds and are too stubborn to fold, that way u can also talk yourself into calling when they raise because you "might have induced a bluff" with the homosexuality of your < 1/3pot bet |

I don't see any diamond that he can have that doesn't beat you. I could understand if he had a low diamond + pair that he would call with a flush draw but it seems doubtful that he he is playing T8o, J8o, K8o. So i think you are doing good checking the river to induce a bluff.
Flop play however I think is really bad I am taking this hand definitely to war on flop if I get the opportunity. I bet something around 74-84. Turn play is quite difficult though if he flat calls you on the flop. I guess I will often take the safe road and check. Possibly check pushing, possibly check calling. |
