Because we have a gutshot I think this is worth betting, we have some equity and likely the best hand. If he raises us we're done with it, and c/c is pretty bad for the reasons you mentioned.
There are unfortunately not many oop spots where we can ever be comfortable.
Something you can consider here is if you know he's actively making plays, to bet/3bet as a bluff. You have blockers 76, and so his jamming range is only 7c6c, 7s6s, 98, set, JT if he's that aggro, here. You're likely giving up on turn but I find a small 3bet keeps a lot of people honest if they have these polarized raising ranges that's mostly air and sets. |
