evil is value betting/shoving
(least on turn/riv)
vilain prolly 3 bet too much so his range is wayyy too wide so hes gona fold alot to donk bet
once we turn TP its easy bet turn shove riv

Dont think 87 is a bluff on this board :|

once he calls flop though there's such a confusing range of hands T_T like 78d, KQ, 9T, flushes, alot of hands he beats and alot of hands he loses to

could you offer any more insight on when to value bet? or in this specific case at least? what are your thought's on villain's calling range, like specific hands we are shoving for value against, and hands we occasionally lose to etc. i guess adding in the whole metagame aspect as well, since villain floats alot, and most likely understands that hero knows that, i guess there are alot of bluff catchers he is balancing with JJ+? i'd imagine alot of flush draws/JJ+ to just raise the flop though. at this point i'm just guessing/rambling

if you wouldn't mind giving your thoughts Hero, i would love to listen

i remember reading a phil galfond article, and he said the thing that separates nl1k and above is the ability to value bet. clearly my skill in vbetting is poor

I dont know how instructive this hand is since its not a super common spot, so ranges become a bit dodgy. But in general the hand plays itself once we bink a TP on the turn and back into 2P on the river, we are way ahead of his range. You gotta understand that he almost never has any of those hands you are afraid of if you consider how the action went.

only sense i can see is he plans on barreling hard here and puts 3better on a huge range. 932 connects like none of that range and he has a bd sd n bd fd + 2 overcards

pf 3bet was super small, prolly saw it as an iso bet and said "ice these barrles mothafucka"

Just remember you need to be god damn sure about their tendencies. -Artanis11 http://www.pocketfives.com/profiles/neillyaa/

Evilsky didn't want to check raise (too expensive) or check call(too passive, we will get owned oop on turn rvr too much) or fold (don't like folding) => leaves a donk?

if villain would fold some sort of air like QJ QT JT KQ then the donk bet is extremely +EV
someone 3bet BTN with J9o then his range is basically any 2 then donk half pot we got him lay down more than 50% of the time if he didnt hit it
but i mean my assuming is that villain would not float and just fold when he missed , but i doubt its possible or not
bcuz he should know Hero missed and donking air most of the time and he could still float the flop then play back on the turn
