he prolly shuts down with AQ, AJ, KQ which is what I think he has like always.
don't see how flatting vs. those hands can be bad though. Shoving just seems to
shut them out and keep them from shoving turn now and then.
would be nice to hear other players opinion |

I don't think people fold Ace high here after all that action. |

he isn't getting the proper odds vs. an underpair or AK with A hi
I don't know how often he'll shove turn if I call either, so I might just be giving him free cards
more than letting him hit an A or shove with overcards
and he might call anyways if I shove. |

i just cbet $26, the board doesn't really hit his range hard, so he will fold alot to your cbet, but may also float with his suited broadway type hands. Don't really like checking flop because you miss value from the times he does have an occasional A2s hand which they might go all in with on flop. And they can get you all in with a turn+river bet with slowplay hands anyway, so there is no pot control in a flop check.
But yeah, i think cbet is the best option even though you wont get value from much. |

No suited broadways is going to fold to a $26 bet. |

I don't view my check as pot control, I just want him to put money into the pot and I'm not folding on any card except for Q.
In my experience, people that flat 4bets with AJ, AQ, KQ etc will just fold flop if they miss, so I want to give him a chance to bluff.

I think both cbetting small and checking is fine fwiw. I just felt like checking was the best decision this hand, and still do

if you decied to check then chk/shove on the flop imo
he played his hand fine since he just put a half pot bet on the flop and he only need 25% equilty (2 overs against TPTK) to win this pot
and if he bet the river for value i am sure you still call him down then make a mistake here |

im certainly bet calling flop tho. his most likely hand is a ton of broadways that hes capable of shoving over a bet with. And then you check turn. But i think flop is 100% a bet. |
