Meh, I guess he figured Joe would not call a shove here with AJ because it's never a bluff if he shoves and he's only getting it in against AQ? Then again, people make dumb calls sometimes.

I think flatting flop and raising are both very viable options though I prefer raising. You get soo much value from lower draws and shit.
