I was pretty sure he had JJ or 66 so I was trying to go to the showdown with the minimum amount of money possible...

should I have shoved here after flop, regardless if I think he had a higher set or should I try to do what I did to expend the minimum possible? or even folded? lol folding a set sounds weird to me, since the chances of him having a set of J or 6 are really low...

aaaa poker is dead lol

make it a thumb rule not to fold sets (of course there are some exceptions w boards that run out really bad) until you start understand more advanced concepts.

dont ever try to go to a cheap showdown with a hand like this on a board like this. do the opposite.

firstly the plan of getting to showdown with minimum amount of money invested is very bad. It's the exact opposite of a good plan for this hand.

Secondly never ever consider folding here. I'd also prefer flatting flop, because that way you don't drive out his bluffs / semibluffs.

Never ever fold here. Just get all the money in somehow. Flatting this dry flop is ok,as is raising. And lol @ villains line. Poker is alive dude =)

After all is said and done, more is said than done.
