Villain is a decent reg for these stakes, Ive just taken 2 large pots off him so I was accounting for possible tilt too. This and a dumb mistake with another set vs flush wiped out my nice winning session. :(

It's no mistake, it's a standard cooler. Please cbet this super dry flop, though.

I'm just glad he called the river, crazy from him. I would have paid off a lot of raises and maybe a shove.

And should I be cbetting this because I can get called by 2 high cards? or should I be cbetting more dry flops in general? I usually only cbet on high cards that hit my range, consequently I also check my pockets and the like on low boards to keep that somewhat balanced.

This is a board that almost never hits him and you have just a pair of 4s, which has little showdown value (if you get to showdown, you'll most likely lose to some QT crap that spiked a pair on a later street). You may also get called once by AK/AQ/AJ, maybe even worse, and win an additional bet.
