Villan is a kinda tight reg.
How often do people usually lead here? is this AT/JT usually? or 78? low pockets? overcards? Liquid Poker keeps telling me that if I think people are betting light here I'm supposed to raise positions like this rather than calling down, is this one correct?

Depends on the villain.
If you know he's going to 2 or 3 barrel you can just call down and it's profitable.
Generally, I think at micros if they lead they tend to have air and want to buy the pot or they have a middling pair. So that's why I just like calling down and see what happens.
Sometimes they lead with a draw though and bet small so they get a better price.. he bets about 50% pot whereas if you bet you would probably go 2/3 or 3/4th, yeah? In this case, raising is good to price out the draws.

This is called turning a good hand into a bluff. Youll get called by all better hands and pretty much all worse hands are going to fold. Thats obiously not a good thing. If you think his range is weak here (which it probably is btw) then raise with your air (preferably overcards like KQ or gutshots etc and not pure air). This is a very standard call in position imo.
After all is said and done, more is said than done.
