Ok guys just a simple question on dealing with aggression. I know this is a boring hand but bear with me.

Over 60 hands this guy is 40/30 and has led/bet every single flop he's played on, I have also seen him showdown light 3bets before. He has also 3bet me both times I bluff-raised his leads. I know its a small sample size. Obviously I need to give him less credit for his hands but what exactly am I supposed to make my stand on? Do I raise with pocket pairs since they beat air? With draws? with overcards? what kind of situations am I looking for? What am I willing to actually stack off with since he's shown a willingness to play back at me and is incredibly deep?

when you say he's shown down light 3-bets before, do you mean hands like KJo/A9s/etc. or total airball like T5o? what were the flops you bluffraised him on before (ie super-dry like TT4r b/c it never hits him, or 567ss b/c it hits your range more than his)? it might not matter much with this player but some people will never give you credit on the former.

anyway, you didn't mention anything about how often he double or triple-barrels so i assume you've just been raising or folding? you shouldn't be raising the flop with marginal hands like AQ/55/etc, if he always re-raises you're basically making his monkey plays accidentally correct since felting those hands vs him would still be terrible with these stacks so you're just burning money by raise-folding. on this flop even though you're clearly ahead of his range, peeling w/AQ is pretty thin b/c of all the stupid backdoor draws he can turn and continue semi-bluffing. if flop was Js5sJd i'd feel better about calling, and Js5sJh i'd definitely call.

if you have no idea what he barrels it's not that bad to call flop and see what happens on the turn, if he bets again though you still have to fold on most cards unless it's super-dry like 7/J or non-spade 2/3/etc or you hit Q/A. if he checks turn (whatever card) you can bet and if he folds you also get a bit more of a read on him. if he c/r or c-c you still get a read on him.

in a nutshell though just fold this flop imo. call 7x+ and draws (can call with stuff like QTdd also and bet any turn when checked to), raise Jx, easy game.
