Well what hands is he likely to be holding?

89 54(got there) and KQ KJ KT and sets if he didnt raise them on the flop and the stacks mean you're putting twice pot in on the turn when he shoves which we assume he's doing with KQ KJ KT, in comparison to the amount of times that you hit your river and win a decent size pot anyway (you have like 1/3 to hit this river right and pretty much make the best hand, flush is disguised here also as its 3bet pot) - your hand is much more disguised on the river and you're getting shoved on alot this turn right?

Yeah that makes sense mate. So would you be more likely to fire turn if equity didnt improve because flop is so dry and he can't really be calling with much less than the above? maybe pairs 88-JJ?

Im experimenting with 3 bet pots but find so much contrasting info and do's donts and everything i do seems to backfire lol adding to the confusion

Check back on turn. You have such sick good underrepped equity. Bet/Call isn't bad by any means however

NeillyJQ: I really wanted to prove to myself I could beat NL200, I did over a small sample, and believe Ill be crushing there in the future.

i think 3-betting a premium hand like 65s on the button is typically preety bad

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same

i cant tell you for certain about the turn, I'd like to hear other opinions but I wouldnt fire unimproved.

I half agree with talentedtom too, opponent dependant

that means you can flat pf and play in postiion with 65s smaller pot , but you dont want to get 4bet and fold
i think its fine to 3bet if you both deeper or try to create some dynamics but myself fold 65s in this spot against most reg and 3bet some call some , player dependent

i prefer 3betting if any of the blinds are aggro. Also, i don't really mind getting 4b off 6 high imo

Looks OK except for your sizing, you're gonna have like 1/3 PSB on the river. Either bet bigger on flop and jam turn or bet smaller 3 streets. I would definitely not check back turn, he shouldn't have very many Kings in his range and you can get a lot of better hands to fold.

As for calling vs 3 betting pre, I think 3 betting is alright as long as villain is calling a lot of 3 bets OOP, otherwise I would always flat.

i don't mind barreling turn to get 88- QQ to fold
i prob give up on river

i play the same way in single raised pot, except maybe SOMETIMES tripple barrel
