i dont quite get your float on the flop |

obviously he thougt villain has KJo and when he hits his queen, villain will bet his overcard+gsdraw and when he misses river villain will check and hero can make a marginal bet to induce all-in bluff from villain, especially if the board pairs so villain can represent AA KK, how can you not get it? |

its pretty standard, he is floating with 2 overs on a flop that isnt likely to hit villian, if a Q,J hits villian can bluff it and if a brick comes he might give up, also we have the T to back into an OESD that we can peel again with. |

i think i was right, not evilsky |

yea what EvilSky said.
as for calling the river ch/raise. I thought since villain is pretty aggressive, and i'm not representing a big hand he was capable of ch/raise bluffing there. i also think that the way the hand played out he wouldn't expect me to check turn and then valuebet river. so he would probably bet river for value and not go for a ch/raise. |

I get the reasons for floating a flop like this. But I rather take do it with a different hand, and with this hand on a different board. You're not going to hit a Q or J that often on the turn, and peeling again with a T on the turn isnt that super either imo. (although villian will never guess what you have when you shove a straight on the river)
Imo this not willing to give up in a bvb spot, I see this all the time when I c-bet this kind of flop, regs always float, and its very abuse-able. And especially against a player that seems to fight back I doubt this is a very solid plan (seeing as he 2nd barrels). |

i doubt that villain will barrel a T turn that often, and I don't mind him barreling on Q or J since i can just call and likely get to river cheap. if he checks to me i can bet and make him fold alot of his range that beats me like pairs below a 9 (sometimes) and AJ+ etc.
I don't mind just folding flop some of the time and floating some of the time. I probably just try to fit that in to the table dynamics and stuff. like if i have been aggresive (raising and floating lots of flops) i probably just let it go, cause people are going to play back at me more often and conversely float more my table image is good. |

that's a pretty bad river jam from villian imo,
anyway i agree with evilsky, floating QJ is pretty standard here. |
