Posts 8649 i never raised in spots like this w/99 either so i dunno, but since he's a winner my best guess is some combination of 1) not having to be faced with barrels and having to fold at some point because your range is stronger than his based on preflop (i don't know how much you 2/3-barrel or whether he ever flats premium hands there preflop, so it may or may not be relevant) and 2) possibility of you folding TT-QQ/maybe preventing you from picking up equity and barreling certain turns like if you had AcQx barreling Tc turn or something. no idea if those are valid but it's all i can think of Truck-Crash Life
