i actually think this is somewhat debatable. i guess my thoughts on this spot @ this specific before when i was able to play online

-ppl 3 bet alot from the blinds, unless u think u can profitable 4 bet bluff them this hand turns to crap
-ppl tend to fight back on a wide range of boards, and u end up folding on a lot of flops, and even when u do hit an Axx board u have a hard time to show down
-even when u bet for value on Axx boards, ppl can call with a relatively tight range and u may end up value cutting urself
-if u can bet this hand for value comfortably and are just somewhat pot controlling it, iono seems to lose a lot of value

iono maybe i am just that bad D:

yeah A8o plays really poorly vs good players but in these games it's a super profitable open.

If you take it down 60% or more of the time, you show instant profit.
If they 3bet >40% combined and you auto fold every time then you can make a case for folding. But then, if that's the case one of the player's 3bet must be >20%, and you have position and the best blocker, unless people 5bet jam a ton with crap it's hard not to show profit, but then you will still get value from the stronger parts of your range.

If they 3bet AND call wide too then what's the problem oO
They are oop with a weak range, you always act last, can check behind flops and do whatever you want in general. Playing in the blinds and OOP is difficult, not on the button
